Reciprocity map — FAQ

How do I use the concealed carry reciprocity map?
Select the state that issued your permit. Every state then recolors to show whether it honors your permit: green for honored, amber for honored with conditions (resident-only or a specific permit class), red for not honored, and gray where recognition is not yet verified against a primary source. Tap any state to open the directional detail page.
What does 'honored with conditions' mean on the map?
It means the destination state recognizes your permit only in a limited way — for example only if you are a resident of the issuing state, or only for a specific class of permit such as an 'enhanced' license. The pair page for that state explains the exact condition.
Is the reciprocity map legal advice?
No. The map is a reference tool sourced from each honoring state's own official reciprocity information. Laws change and can be litigated — verify with the destination state before you carry.
